Lisa Hodgetts is Associate Professor of Archaeology at Western University and Past-President of the Canadian Archaeological Association (CAA).

Drawing on recent CAA efforts and her own community-based research in Inuvialuit Nunangat (the Inuvialuit Settlement Region) she explores recent efforts to address archaeology’s colonial history and make the discipline more inclusive. Many of the questions and challenges being faced by archaeologists apply across multiple fields of study, as do many strategies for effecting change. The ZOOM registration link is here.

Join a TBRHSC Healthy Get Together as Erin May guides a vagal yoga practice that can be done sitting in a chair. The vagus nerve controls systems in the body that maintain balance and harmony. Through a set of exercises, eye patterns, and special breathing techniques, vagal yoga is designed to dial down stress, enhance deep sleep, relaxation, activate healing and optimize a person’s full potential. This is a great opportunity to clear your mind so you can be more balanced and focused as you work through your busy afternoon.

With all the hype around ChatGPT these days, the Academic Integrity-TEA group will be diving into the topic of chatbots and A.I. writing tools, and more specifically, how folks are handling this new technology in the classroom.

Academic Integri-TEA is a small, informal community of practice designed to help facilitate conversations and positively influence the academic integrity culture at Lakehead University.

Participants are encouraged to make themselves a cup of tea (or coffee) and join with other instructors as we discuss the topic of academic integrity at Lakehead. Academic Integri-TEA is a collaborative space to talk about the common academic integrity issues you are experiencing in the classroom and share helpful tips with your peers.
