Aboriginal Cultural & Support Services will be putting up the Tipi for Fall Harvest on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1 pm at the Lakehead University Sweat Lodge Site. Student volunteers are needed. For more information contact Sheila Pelletier-Demerah at 343-8085 or acss@lakeheadu.ca
There will be a Sweat Lodge Ceremony Wednesday, September 24th, 6 pm at the Sweat Lodge Site. Everyone is welcome to attend! It's recommended that participants dress for the heat. Women should wear long skirts and a T-shirt. Men should wear shorts. Be sure to bring a towel. Participants are encouraged to bring the Elder a tobacco offering which is available for pick-up at ACSS (RC0002). Women who are on their moon time must not participate in the sweat lodge ceremony or handle ceremonial items.
