H.B.Sc. University of Guelph (Biochemistry), Guelph ON
M.Sc. Lakehead University (Biology), Thunder Bay ON
I earned my Biochemistry Degree at the University of Guelph and chose a Carbohydrate Chemistry project for my Honours Thesis. However, because I was very interested in Microbiology by my fourth year, I moved to Thunder Bay with my now wife, and we both earned a Masters Degree from Lakehead, mine in Biology (Environmental Microbiology project) and hers in Chemistry.
I am currently the lab coordinator for Introductory Human Physiology 2030, Biology of Microorganisms 2711, Animal Physiology: Animal Communication and Control Systems I 3250, Animal Physiology: Organ System Operation and Regulation 3251, and Food Microbiology 4770. I am also involved in maintaining equipment, helping out with school visits, plus I am the Health and Safety Representative for the Department and sit on the Labs and Studios Joint Health and Safety Committee. I am a contract lecturer for Topics in Science 1000.
Outside of the University I enjoy reading, cooking, snowshoeing, hunting, and spending time with my wife and family in our new home.
