March is Nutrition Month! Join Student Health and Wellness and have a SOUP-er day.

  • Grab a FREE bowl of soup from the kiosk (while supplies last)
  • Drop off a donation for the food pantry
  • Learn some cost-saving grocery and meal-prep tips
  • Test your knowledge with food trivia!


We will have events all month long to support healthy eating and food security, so be sure to check out our calendar for other Nutrition Month events.

With exams fast approaching, staff from Student Success will be at Breakfast Bar this week to share some study tips and help you feel prepared and confident heading into the final stretch of the semester. Drop by to grab some fuel to start your day and connect with Student Success!

Need some fuel to start your day? You're invited to Breakfast Bar! Happening every Thursday from 9am - 11am, drop by to make your own breakfast, learn some low-cost and nutritious breakfast recipes and cost-saving strategies, and connect with peers. We will occasionally have special guests present to share information about timely topics.

Breakfast will include toast and yogurt, both with a variety of toppings that will rotate each week. On occasion, we'll also have special feature items for you to try!

Steamy Reads Book Swap

Join Student Health and Wellness, the Office and Human Rights and Equity and the Pride Center/Gender Equity Center for a fun-filled event during Shark Week!

What’s the story?

Bring a romance book you’re ready to share. Add a few hints about the book, like its tropes, red flags, or green flags, and then trade it for another book. 

Love is in the air

Stick around for some couple goals trivia and romance trivia, pick up sexual health supplies and learn about the supports and services available to you as a Lakehead student.

(OR) Donut Stress: Just Check

Donut stress, just check! Quick, confidential, and no big deal. Drop by for a quick STI test - and donuts! STIs can easily fly under the radar because they often don't show any symptoms. That's why it's a good idea to just check once in a while so that you now your status! 

What to expect:

-  You'll have a private conversation with a nurse

- Do a quick urine sample

- Grab some free sexual health supplies

- Have a sweet treat!
