(OR) Take10: Breakfast Bar @HP

Start your day with something good, for your body and your brain! Drop in to the Breakfast Bar at Heritage Place because fueling your body is an essential part of self-care and academic success! Grab something to eat, learn cost-saving food strategies, and connect with peers. Take 10 minutes to nourish yourself and set a positive tone for the rest of your day!

(OR) Take10: Consent Awareness & Sexual Wellness @HP

Take 10 minutes out of your day to explore what consent really means, beyond just "yes" or "no." This drop-in event is all about building confidence in communication, understanding boundaries, and learning how to support yourself and others.

What you can expect:

  • Learn what consent is (and what it’s not)

  • Reflect on your own boundaries and comfort zones

Rainbow Connections: Move With Confidence

Join Student Health and Wellness and Pride Central/GEC for a welcoming introduction to the Lakehead Athletics facilities. Led by Registered Kinesiologist Lindsey Wachter (SHW Health Promoter), this session will help you get comfortable in the gym, explore the available spaces and equipment, and learn how to structure a workout program that fits your needs.

Mindfulness by the Lake

Join Student Health and Wellness counsellor Holly Maki for outdoor mindfulness sessions at the fire pit by Lake Tamblyn. Take a pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself in a peaceful natural setting (no fire, just fresh air!).

Open to students and employees!

(OR) De-stress Fest (Summer Edition)

As the summer (and stress levels) heats up, it's important to take some time to unwind! Drop by the picnic tables outside the dining hall to kick back and relax over your lunch break with some light refreshments, lawn games, and creative crafts. Or, you can just bring your lunch and recharge with some fresh air and sunshine. You'll also be able to chat with staff from Student Health and Wellness and Student Success to learn about the supports and services available to you (health services, mental health supports, study skill building, and leadership opportunitites, to name just a few!)

(OR) Drop-In Pickleball

Drop by the tennis courts outside Rotary Place any time between 12 pm and 2 pm to play a game of pickleball or tennis, or meet up with fellow Thunderwolves for a walk along the paths through the West Orillia Sports Complex.

Notes regarding pickleball/tennis: No experience required, we're all learning together! The courts can't be booked, so we will play on whichever courts are available.

(OR) WellU Wednesday: Snoozefest

Join Student Health and Wellness for Snoozefest, where you will play a life-sized board game called Sheeps and Scrolls, where your sleep habits decide your fate! Just like Chutes and Ladders, you'll climb toward better rest with good sleep hygiene and slide back for the not-so-great sleep decisions. You may also find yourself hanging out in a blanket fort!

Learn how to build better sleep habits and win sleep-themed prizes while you're at it! Pyjamas are highly encouraged—and might even earn you bonus chances to win.
