InfoSession: Munich Quantum Valley - Mitacs GRA Joint Program

Canadian faculty, researchers, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows are invited to attend a joint information session regarding the MQV/Mitacs GRA funding opportunity. This session will cover the eligibility requirements and application process as well as offer the chance to ask questions to MQV and Mitacs representatives. Participants from Germany will also be joining. This opportunity supports both inbound and outbound mobility of interns from Canadian and Bavarian universities and research institutes. MQV will also promote the Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA) program within their research community to encourage bilateral collaboration with Canada.

Please note that the Mitacs and MQV programs are complementary and managed separately. Interested applicants must apply to both programs, with funding provided to successful applicants by both Mitacs and MQV.

Key details of the MQV offering 

• Intern eligibility: Master’s/PhD students and postdoctoral fellows
• Travel direction: Travel to and from Canada
• Eligible universities: MQV research groups
• Sector: Quantum technologies (MQV research topics)
• Project duration: Up to six months for graduate students and up to one year for postdoctoral fellows
• Funding: Provided directly by MQV to successful applicants; 2000€ supplemental to Mitacs GRA program
• Application materials and process: Applications are processed on a rolling basis. Up to 10 positions per year are fundable. Proposed work must be directly related to MQV research in Germany or Canada and conducted with an MQV-associated researcher.
