I was so impressed with the concept of HUM 101 when I first read about it in a Reader's Digest article. When Lakehead University began a similar program, I knew I wanted to be associated in some way.  This is my second year of involvement and I only have praise for the program and sincere appreciation for the people who make it such a success. I have first hand witnessed participants' blossom as they gain confidence and gain greater awareness of their potential because of their involvement in a barrier free, learning situation at a university level.

Humanities 101 is an innovative program that is grounded in research and distinguished by strong connections to diverse communities.  Humanities 101 is a successful example of how Lakehead University, partners and affiliates work together to create educational opportunities that change the horizon of individual lives.
