My experience with the students in Humanities 101 helped me to remember why I became a teacher. There is such delight in drawing people out of their often self-imposed shells and helping them to realize that the answers to the questions of learning lie within their own life experiences. I thank the class of 2006 for their heartfelt musings about the nature of community, politics, power and food security. In the end, they always teach me as much as they teach themselves.
