Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, invites applications for a Contract Lecturer and Lab Instructor in the Department of Physics.  Applications are requested to teach:

Spring 2026

PHYS 3211-SA – Electromagnetic Theory
Topics covered include vector operators, electrostatic potential and force, magnetostatics, Faraday's law of induction, laws relating changing electric and magnetic fields, Maxwell's equations in integral and differential form, boundary conditions, electromagnetic radiation and energy propagation, Fresnel's equations, and basic antenna theory.
Start Date/Duration: Monday and Thursday 3:00pm - 5:30pm (2026/05/01- 2026/06/30)
Location: Thunder Bay (note: no travel allowance shall be payable)

PHYS 3211L-S1 LAB for Phys 3211- Electromagnetic Theory

Qualifications Preferred: A graduate degree in physics or relevant discipline is preferred, with experience teaching at the post-secondary level. Candidates lacking the specific degree qualification, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications, are also encouraged to apply.
