All applications to the PhD are automatically considered for financial assistance.

We are aware that graduate studies is a time-consuming endeavor, and we aim to provide our students with the financial support they need, so they can fully focus on their academic and research work without worrying about their financial situation.

• The Faculty of Graduate Studies offers Graduate Assistantships to many graduate students, and maintains a database of other graduate funding opportunities. Visit their website to see what options you qualify for.
  
  
• We strongly encourage our students to apply for external funding from agencies such as NSERC, OCE, MITACS, and others. In addition to providing financial support, these awards are major accomplishments to add to your resume. Discuss with your supervisor which programs may be appropriate for you.
  
  
• Your supervisor may offer you funding from their personal awards. You will need to discuss the matter with them personally.
