Students - Free Meditation sessions! Reduce your stress

Meditation can reduce symptoms of anxiety & depression, improve focus and sleep, and increase feelings of well-being. Take 30 minutes out of your day to attend a session.
Free Meditation sessions are offered in the Paterson Library on Mondays at 3:45 pm until 4:15 pm (Rm 5002) and in the Centre - Prettie Residence on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11:45 am until 12:15 pm & Fridays at 3:45 pm until 4:15 pm.
As well, the Centre will be hosting two extra meditation sessions in the Bora Laskin building on Monday, Jan. 16 and Monday, Jan. 30 at 9 am until 9:30 am in BL1022. You're invited to join us!

Mindfulness for Students
Students - the Student Health & Counselling Centre invites you to join Dr. J. Lailey M.D. for a free, four-week workshop, Mindfulness for Students.
This workshop will introduce you to the skill of paying attention to your experience, in the present moment, without judgement.
This simple skill, which is more like an art, has a way of freeing us from our habitual patterns, helping us to live life more fully.
Whether you have practiced mindfulness before, or if you’re interested in trying it, this is a great chance to learn more. The workshop is from 12 pm (noon) - 2 pm at the Student Health & Counselling Centre on the following four Wednesdays: January 18 to February 8, 2017.
If you are interested, please come to the Student Health & Counselling Centre to complete a screening questionnaire that Dr. Lailey will review. You will then be contacted for further information.
Questionnaires accepted until Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017.
Winter Clothing Drive for International Students
It's time to dig deep into your closets and your hearts to help us make winter a little warmer for those in need.
LUSU is asking for donations of gently used or new winter coats, mitts, gloves, toques, and sweaters. Your donations will help international students in need experience all that winter in Northwestern Ontario has to offer . . . without the frostbite.
