Join us for a special Outdoor Gear Repair Café on Saturday, February 28, 2026!

Students from Lakehead University's School of Outdoor Recreation, Parks & Tourism have partnered with the Thunder Bay Repair Café and Lakehead University's Office of Sustainability to offer this great opportunity to extend the life of outdoor apparel and equipment that need a little TLC. In the spirit of stewardship and circularity, this event is designed to keep your favorite gear in the field and out of the landfill. Be sure to register at tbayrepaircafe.org to sign up for an appointment to get your gear fixed by one of our skilled students and volunteers! Whether it’s a torn tent, a stuck zipper on a sleeping bag, a backpack needing a stitch, a camping stove needing maintenance, and more, our "fixers" are here to help.
