The Gryphon Trio: Up Close and Personal!

Gryphon Trio

Saturday, September 29, 2018
2:00 pm, Jean McNulty Recital Hall
William H. Buset Centre for Music and Visual Arts

Free and open to the public

Join us for an intriguing presentation by the members of the renowned Gryphon Trio for a glimpse into their extraordinary musical life. A few musical excerpts will be shared. This Toronto-based, internationally-celebrated ensemble consists of pianist Jamie Parker, violinist Annalee Patipatanakoon, and cellist Roman Borys. Their groundbreaking “Listen Up!” artistic outreach program, built on the understanding that all children have the potential for artistic expression, engages entire communities from Ottawa to Inuvik, in a hands-on, collaborative, multifaceted arts-creation process. The Trio tours widely, records extensively (Juno-award winners), commissions new works (80), and performs music ranging from traditional to contemporary, from European classicism to modern-day multimedia. They are firmly established as one of the world’s foremost piano trios.

“…highly-refined, dynamic performances”.

This is a 2018 Culture Days event
