      Special Lecture-workshop on

   J. S.BACH’S 2 and 3-PART INVENTIONS

Given by virtuoso harpsichordist

ERIC LUSSIER

â€"music-making of great eloquence”- Montreal Gazette

An in-depth review of the inventions vis-à-vis ornamentation, fingering, articulation, current performance practice, speech, gestures, and dance.  All of these factors help the teacher and student understand more fully the incredible importance of these works, not just as technical â€"rites of passage”, but as chef d’oeuvres of the Baroque period. Both piano and harpsichord will be used. Students who wish are invited to perform at the end. Everyone is welcome. Don’t miss this!
Co-sponsored by Consortium Aurora Borealis and
