Isabelle Schnöller, flute
 
Isabelle Schnöller was born in Basel, Switzerland. She studied with Kiyoshi Kasai and Robert Aitken at the Staatliche Musikhochschule in Freiburg i.Br. (Germany). In 1993 she received her solo-diploma with honours, and was then awarded a scholarship to attend the Advanced Studies in Music Program at the Banff Centre for Fine Arts in Canada.

Isabelle Schnöller won the top prize at the 1992 International Music Competition of the Jeunesses Musicales in Belgrade and one year later  the first prize at the UBS-competition for the advancement of young musicians. She has performed as soloist or in chamber-ensembles in various European countries and in North-America.  As soloist she was invited by the Berliner Festwochen, Tibor Varga Festival Sion and the New Music Concerts New Music Festival in Toronto where she performed with the Esprit Orchestra, directed by Alex Pauk.

Isabelle Schnöller is currently a member of the Arion Wind Quintet, the Camerata Variabile and principal flutist in the Kammerorchester Basel.  With the latter she performed in 2004 at the famous Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.  Isabelle has recorded for such labels as Jecklin, Ars Musici, derecha, col legno and edition zeitklang.
