Alumni Update: ALEXA GRANT(HBK, 2020) Selected as Head Coach for the NWO Special Olympics Swim Team

Alexa is super excited for the opportunity to travel to Waterloo, Ontario for the Special Olympics Provincials for swimming being held May 22-26.  As Head Coach, she will be accompanying 7 swimmers who will be competing in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke races in distances ranging from 25m-100m.  Two other coaches will be attending as well. 

Alexa has been involved in coaching swimming with Special Olympics for 4 years.  Congratulations and good luck to the coach and all of her swimmers!  Swim Hard – Have Fun!

Alexa is also a coach for the Thunder Rays Master's Swim Club and works full-time as an Occupational Therapist at St. Joseph's Care Group in Thunder Bay.

  

Dennis Franklin Cromarty @ the School of Kinesiology

Students and staff from DFC visited the School of Kinesiology on April 25. We shared information about biomechanics in activities of daily living and applied biomechanical principles during our sport activities. Looking forward to a future visit!
