NOTES on Renewal of Scholarship: Students who take at least an 80% course load or more (September to April) are eligible to receive a pro-rated scholarship value. For further information, see Item #2 above. If a Free Tuition scholar's average falls between 80.0% -- 89.9%, the scholar will receive an amended scholarship valued at $2,500 per year for each subsequent year. (d) Lakehead University Pioneer Entrance Award
NOTES on Renewal of Scholarship: * Entrance Scholarship renewable into future years as long as renewal criteria are met. For a complete list of entrance scholarship offerings please visit www.lakeheadu.ca > Future Students > Scholarships & Financing > Entrance Scholarships > Entrance Scholarships (Domestic Students). 1. Students with an entering high school average of 95.0% or Over will receive the Lakehead University Free Tuition scholarship. This scholarship is a renewable scholarship for up to 4 years. If the student is unable to maintain the average required for the Free Tuition Scholarship outlined in the Free Tuition terms and conditions available here: Future Students > Scholarships & Financing > About Scholarships, Awards & Financing > Terms & Conditions, but is able to keep an entrance scholarship, the value of the Pioneer Award will be $1,500 for year 2. 2. Students with an entering high school average of 80.0% to 94.9% will also receive a Lakehead University Entrance Scholarship. These scholarships are renewable for up to 4 years. If the student is unable to maintain the average required for a Lakehead University Entrance Scholarship outlined in the Entrance Scholarship terms and conditions available here: Future Students > Scholarships & Financing > About Scholarships, Awards & Financing > Terms & Conditions, the value of the Pioneer Award will be $2,000. Otherwise, the student will receive $1,500 for year 2. 3. Students not entering directly from high school or who do not meet the criteria of the renewable entrance scholarship are eligible to receive a $2,000 renewable Pioneer Entrance Award in year 1, and renewable for year 2. |

PAYMENT:
Payment will be made upon confirmation of full-time registration during the September to April academic terms and confirmation of your Social Insurance Number (SIN). Payment(s) of Lakehead University scholarship(s) and bursaries will be made to your Lakehead University Statement of Account by the first week of classes in September.
If paying FULL tuition fees by August 15, pay the fees less your total *award entitlement OR
If paying by INSTALMENTS, pay the first tuition fee instalment due August 15, less half the value of your scholarship entitlement and/or the full-value of the bursary entitlement. In December 15, pay the second tuition fee instalment due, less the remaining half of your scholarship entitlement.
REFUND(S):
In September, should you have a surplus (credit) balance after your first instalment of award funds have been applied to your Lakehead University Statement of Account any refund will be issued via direct deposit to your bank account. To enter bank information, you must login to your MYINFO account at https://lud.lakeheadu.ca/ and fill out the Bank Information (found under the For Students tab under the heading My Financial Profile).
