Student Access Guarantee

What is the Student Access Guarantee?

The Student Access Guarantee (SAG) is a commitment between Lakehead University and the Ontario Government.  Lakehead will help to cover any additional educational costs (tuition, books, supplies) above a pre-determined provincial average.  If you are in a first-degree entry program and have applied to receive Ontario Student Assistance Program funding (OSAP), you may qualify.  Lakehead University will automatically assess your eligibility and provide any funds to help in your success by February.

What types of funding qualify for the Student Access Guarantee?

Students may receive SAG in the following forms:

  • Bursaries
  • Scholarships
  • Work-study programs
