Admission & Application Information for Native Nurses Entry Program
The Native Nurses Entry Program is a nine month preparation program for individuals of Indigenous descent (status, non-status, Metis or Inuit). The program is designed to provide the necessary skills and academic preparation required for successful completion of the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program.
General Admission Requirements:
Those who may be considered for admission to the Native Nurses Entry Program include:
- High School Students
- Mature or College Transfer Students who do not meet traditional admission requirements
- Health care workers (ie: Community Health Representatives (CHRs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) who have a minimum of Ontario Grade 10 or equivalent
Program Specific Prerequisites:
All applicants are required to submit proof of recent upgrading (within the last 5 years) in:
- Biology and Chemistry - preferably Grade 10 Academic or Applied Science, and;
- Grade 11 U or C Chemistry, or equivalent.
