Online and Virtual Code of Conduct

Students enrolled in the Department of Health Sciences’ Programs must know and adhere to Lakehead University’s Student Code of Conduct. The Code must be adhered to on Lakehead University grounds AND online/virtually. E.g., students enrolled in any Health Sciences program or course must adhere to the Code when engaging with Lakehead University faculty, staff, and students whether verbally or in writing and whether face to face or online/virtually. In addition, to ensure professionalism and privacy, students participating in any Zoom videoconferencing-based online class must ensure that all personal email and social media accounts remain inactivated on the electronic device utilized for Zoom videoconferencing during any class or class-related activities such as seminars or group meetings. Failing to comply with this policy may result in penalties relating to academic misconduct as outlined in the Code.

Professionalism is expected in all virtual engagement and online communication.
