Bridging Knowledge Systems in Psychology: Indigenous Perspectives on Wellness

We are a group of clinical psychology graduate students who have created a two-part speaker and experiential learning series focused on Indigenous perspectives of wellness. The goal of this two-part speaker and experiential learning activity series is to create spaces where students, Indigenous Elders, academics, and other community members can connect and learn with each other. This two-part initiative includes welcoming an Anishinaabe clinical psychologist to share their insights with our campus community, as well as offering a traditional land-based activity led by an Elder to promote experiential learning.
At this time, we invite undergraduate and graduate students from all departments to join us for a 1.5-hour virtual talk, led by Dr. Brenda Restoule, on February 27, 2026, at 2:15 PM. Students may attend the meeting in person in the Senate Chamber room at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, or virtually, via Zoom (link to be provided).
Registration is required.
