Digital storytelling is a creative process that allows individuals to design videos that pair audio recordings of personal narratives with visuals and music. During the pandemic, seven storytellers volunteered to create digital stories for Compassionate Ottawa.

The digital stories were presented with community groups to trigger conversations about end of life and promote deeper understanding of the experience of giving and receiving help during later life.

In this presentation, two digital story tellers will describe how their digital stories were developed. Attendees will view a sample of stories created, and then interact with the storytellers to reflect on the stories’ messages and potential target audiences.
