Spring Campus Beautification Days
As part of Lakehead University’s Wellness Strategy, we are pleased to launch our very first Spring Campus Beautification Days: an opportunity for our campus community to come together to spruce up the campus and lend a hand.
The entire university community including Lakehead employees and students are invited to join in planting and pulling weeds, collecting debris, and tidying up our rock gardens. This is also a fun way to get outdoors for fresh air and connect with others.
When:
Thursday May 19 between 12 pm and 3 pm;
Friday May 20 between 10 am and 1 pm.
Join us as you are available.
Where: Lakehead Thunder Bay
A welcome table with supplies will be available outside the Chancellor Paterson Library.
Refreshments supplied by Aramark.
Tools (trash pickers), gloves and trash bags will be provided; however, we encourage you to bring your own tools and gloves.
What can you expect?
• Rock garden clean-up/weeding outside of the Braun Building/Student Centre, CASES, Wolf Den and around Lake Tamblyn
• Flowers will be available for planting (weather dependent)
• Light clean up outdoors
• Debris/garbage clean-up throughout the main campus and walking paths
Everyone is welcome.
