Do you have family and friends who are exploring post-secondary options, or who have recently applied to Lakehead?

Lakehead University is hosting the ultimate event for prospective students: The Lakehead Experience Virtual Open House on December 8 between 4:00 - 8:00 pm EST. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore programs, admission requirements, and student services by chatting one-on-one with any of our 110 professors and staff, who will be online.

Visitors can also ask their questions live during our current student panel discussion, attend a presentation exploring how Lakehead brings learning to life through hands-on opportunities, or listen to a panel of alumni sharing how Lakehead shaped their lives and careers beyond university. One of the best ways to explore the breadth and depth of the experiences Lakehead offers, the Lakehead Virtual Open House is a must for future students.

There is an international Compassionate Communities movement that is taking off around the world. A goal of this movement is to shift perspectives about how we think about end-of-life care by de-medicalizing death and dying, and increasing community supports for end-of-life events. Hospice Northwest, in conjunction with the Lakehead University Centre for Education and Research on Aging & Health, and St. Joseph's Care Group North West Regional Palliative Care Program, is hosting a 30 minute virtual information session - the Compassionate Community Lunchtime Learn. Join in during your lunch break to learn about this important movement. The information sessions are being hosted from 12 pm – 12:30 pm on Monday, December 6th.

We highly encourage you forward this invitation to members of your workplace, friends, neighbours, and family! All participants will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a gift card! If you would like to participate, please register by clicking the link. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
