Please note that Lakehead University has implemented a Mandatory Vaccination Policy. In order to access University premises, we ask that you provide proof that you are fully vaccinated or proof of a negative rapid test.

Before coming to our campuses, please:

  1. Complete a COVID-19 self-screening assessment (results last for 24 hours); and
  2. Complete your Vaccine Passport using a web browser or through the Lakehead Mobile Safety app.

Once your vaccine passport has been approved, you will be required to show your badge each time you access Lakehead University properties.

If you have not been fully vaccinated, please provide the results of a negative rapid antigen test performed within 72 hours of arriving on campus.

 

Orange Shirt Day Ceremonial Gathering

Students, staff and faculty are invited to participate in a sacred fire and ceremonial gathering in memorial of and in solidarity with Indian Residential School Attendees.

Participants will be invited to paint a rock which will be part of Lakehead University Orillia Campus Medicine Wheel Garden. Indigenous community members are welcome to bring their drums. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and their own cup/copper cup. No photos or videos are allowed during a ceremonial event.
