Rescheduling Tests/Exams Accommodation

Students with a test/exam/quiz rescheduling accommodation may on rare occasions be incapacitated and unable to write a scheduled test/exam/quiz due to serious fluctuating functional limitations related to disability and/or medical condition symptoms.

Not all students registered with SAS have a test/exam/quiz rescheduling accommodation; Instructors should refer to a student's accommodation letter for confirmation of their accommodations.

The Basics of Academic Accommodations

The process and purpose of academic accommodations is to remove barriers, allowing for equal access to learning opportunities, experienced by students with disability and/or medical conditions related impacts, while maintaining academic integrity and allowing for standard academic challenges.

Volunteer Peer Note Taking

From time to time an instructor may feel they cannot implement the "Access to Lecture Material; recording capability for lectures in a class" accommodation in a class. As per The Policy “The instructor shall consult with their Dean and collaborate with SAS to discuss alternative solutions related to the accommodation plan if necessary”.
