What: field trip to Day 2 trade show/employer information fair at Day two of the Manufacturing Innovation Summit
When: Bus departs from Simcoe Hall at 11:00am on October 17, and returns to Simcoe Hall approximately 5:30pm that same day.
At the event:
You will visit the trade show B2B information fair, attend a panel discussion featuring employees and hiring managers from several local companies, and then participate in a workshop "Forge your Future" led by Lakehead University and the Barrie Sanbox where you will build your skills and learn how to rock your next interview for your upcoming co-op, summer, for full-time/graduate job.
Important: students who attend this event must receive permission from faculty to miss class if class time conflicts with the event. Students will also be required to sign an off-campus field trip waiver in order to take the bus to the event. This field trip is not required for credit but is being organized by the department of Research & Innovation and Career Services & Co-op in order to provide you with opportunities to explore careers connected to research, innovation, and manufacturing. All health services offered through Student Health and Wellness are by appointment only. You can request an appointment through MySuccess, then Student Health and Wellness staff with contact you to book your appointment.
Where do appointments take place?
All in-person appointments occur in the Wellness Centre in OR 1012, on the first floor of the residence building. Some of the services are available virtually if that is preferred.
