National Coaching Certification Program Part B

Certified by the Ontario Coaches Association, this non-credit workshop offers all recreational coaches and interested people with a chance to improve their coaching skills. To gain credit for this exam, all participants must complete a workbook exam. This workshop covers the following topics:

Communication is a 21st century learning skill and good communication between teachers and parents does not just happen; it requires planning and skill.

This non-credit workshop will explore the ways in which teachers communicate both intentionally and unintentionally with students, colleagues, school administration, the community, and parents.

Tribes is a co-operative learning and teaching approach to instruction and classroom management which applies to all divisions. This is a 24 hour, interactive, hands-on practical workshop that spans multiple days. Grammar that Grabs

This non-credit workshop provides you with the opportunity to improve your grammar skills in order to provide clear and practical advice to student writers.

This workshop concentrates on classroom-tested, sound pedagogical strategies that assist you and your students to understand the writing process and the pivotal role that grammar plays in this process. This course also addresses the assessment of student writing as evidenced by appropriate examples and the most common student errors.
