Critical evaluation of the concept of a profession includes the associated concepts of self-regulation and moral principles, the professional-client relationship, duties of confidentiality and truth-telling, codes of ethics and discipline cases, cover-ups and whistle blowing. A variety of professions will be examined including those traditional professions focused on the relationship between individuals, those where professional activity is corporate, and those whose activity extends into cyberspace.
