The Department of Philosophy informs our undergraduates of opportunities in submitting papers to undergraduate Philosophy journals and conferences. This page is not inclusive of all opportunities, but of those that have come to the attention of the Department.

Call for undergraduate papers 2019-2020

Denison University - Deadline for submissions is December 20, 2019 for Undergraduate Journal of Philosophy call for papers Episteme. Papers with cover letter - and questions to the Editors - should be submitted/sent to episteme@denison.edu

 

University of Toronto - Deadline for submissions is January 20, 2020, for Almagest, the history and philosophy of science undergraduate journal. Submissions should be emailed to almagestjournal@gmail.com and further information can be found at http://www.almagestjournal.com

 

University of Windsor - Deadline for submissions is February 14, 2020 for the 16th annual undergraduate Critical Reflections Philosophy Conference. Abstracts can be submitted to the conference website: https://scholar.uwindsor.ca/essaysofsignificance/
All submissions should include the name of applicant, the level of study and the institution they are associated with.

 

Pensées Canadiennes, one of the largest Canadian undergraduate journals of philosophy, is now accepting submissions for its upcoming volume, which will be published during Spring 2020 and distributed across Canada. Deadline for submission is February 17, 2020

The journal is not restricted to any philosophical discipline, historical period, or methodology. We look for papers on any philosophical topic that demonstrate precision, excellent scholarship and originality. Pensées accepts submissions in either French or English. A national editing team will select the papers by a double-blind peer review process.

We accept submissions from any undergraduate philosophy student enrolled in a Canadian university as of Fall 2019 to Winter 2020. Submissions should be sent to journal@penseescanadiennes.com
