Presenter:
Dr. Lindsay Galway, MPH, PhD
Assistant Professor

Geographic information systems (GIS) are increasingly used in epidemiology and in public health research and practice. This webinar will provide participants with basic knowledge about GIS software, spatial data, and mapping relevant to epidemiology and public health. Specific examples of GIS application will be profiled drawing on recent Canadian and international research projects. These examples illustrate the value of GIS as a tool for visualisation, data transformation, and analysis and will inspire participants to use GIS in their own research and practice.
