National Student Exchange inspires academic enrichment, personal exploration, and student development by facilitating accessible collegiate study away among member colleges and universities throughout the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, and U.S Virgin Islands over +160 campuses.

Semester Dates:

Academic semesters vary depending on the campus you choose as your mobility destination. Please visit the link here to access the list of the campuses, or contact globalme@lakeheadu.ca for assistance. Once you've selected a campus, please refer to Academics tab to get more information.

Application Deadline:

Application Deadline (Priority Placement): Enter 2026-2027 placement requests in late February 2026 and placement decisions are determined early March 2026. You must already be accepted to the Global ME Program in order to apply to NSE. Please contact globalme@lakeheadu.ca to learn more about the application process.

NSE Info Session

Want to learn more about NSE? Join us for a virtual NSE Info Session! We will review the basics of NSE (tuition, financial aid, course options, housing, and research tips) and answer your questions.
