All outbound students who are interested in participating in the Global ME (Mobility Engagement) program must submit an application to study abroad. On our application, we will ask you to indicate your top 1-3 preferred host institutions. You are encouraged to do thorough research before submitting your application to ensure that your host institution preferences offer courses relevant to their fields of study, so that you stay on track with your Lakehead degree requirements.

In the Global ME Application Form you'll be asked to provide the following information:

• Academic Reference - The name and email address of a previous or current Lakehead University professor (no reference letter is required)
• Statement of Interest - Please explain why you wish to go study abroad and how you'll be a good representative of Lakehead University during your exchange (maximum one page)
• Student Exchange Waiver - The required waiver is linked within the application form, and you must acknowledge that you understand the potential risks you assume when travelling abroad for a student exchange
