March 11, 2020:

AMP visited Westgate Collegiate & Vocational Institute where AMP students learnt about the history of dreamcatchers and got to create their own!

March 4, 2020:

AMP visited Martin McKay Memorial School for a Career Fair in Sachigo Lake First Nation where the students got to learn basic coding using OZOBOTS.

February 29, 2020:

AMP participated in Research & Innovation Week at Intercity Shopping Centre where everyone learnt about their own DNA and genetics. PTC taste strips were used to demonstrate the effects of heredity on taste, and DNA strands were extracted from strawberries which illustrated the resemblance to human DNA!

February 27, 2020:

AMP visited St. Ignatius High School to conduct an activity on Snow Quality using scales, thermometers, and pH strips.

February 11, 2020:

AMP visited Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute for Valentine's Day week to learn how to make bath bombs for that special someone.

January 29, 2020:

AMP visited Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute to give the students the opportunity to do First Year University level Ojibway Language lessons and work sheets.

December 12, 2019:

AMP visited St. Ignatius High School to help with tutoring for end of semester exams before the Christmas break, and treated the students to a Hot Chocolate Bar.

December 11, 2019:

AMP visited Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute to teach the students about Canadian Indigenous Art History and create their own rock paintings using red ochre and vegetable shortening.

December 5, 2019:

AMP partnered with Let's Talk Science to give Westmount Public School grade 7's a lesson and a lab on wild rice and its traditional importance. The students had the opportunity to propagate wild rice and monitor its growth in a test tube.

November 14, 2019:

AMP Students got the opportunity to have an entire day on Campus during Treaty Recognition Week to learn about its historical and cultural importance and also view and experience the Legacy of Hope Exhibit and listen to Keynote Speaker Colleen Cardinal. All the students were given a copy of Colleen Cardinal's book "Raised Somewhere Else: A 60's Scoop Adoptee's Story of Coming Home" a few weeks before this special day on campus. The Students listened to residential school survivors video testimonies, painted clay hearts, and wrote poems.
