MOVED that Dr. Jill Taylor-Hollings External Adjunct Professor appointment in the department of anthropology be approved for the term commencing July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022.

Lakehead University Student Union (LUSU) Appointment Recommendations

 

7.1

MOVED that the following LUSU appointment recommendations be approved:

  • Prabhjot Singh Ahuja, be appointed as a student Senator for the term commencing immediately to June 30, 2019.
  • Veeranjaneyulu Davuluri, be appointed as a student Senator for the term commencing immediately to June 30, 2020.
  • Anthony Oghieakhe, be appointed as a student Senator for the term commencing immediately to June 30, 2020, and as the student Senator on the Senate Executive Committee effective immediately to June 30, 2019.
  • Britney Olibris, be appointed as a student on the Senate Academic Appeals Committee for the term commencing immediately to June 30, 2019.

Late Additions to the List of Graduands (Ms. Andrea Tarsitano)

The Senate’s “Enabling Motion Graduands on Record” empowers the Dean of the Faculty and Registrar to approve late additions to the graduands’ list who had not appeared on the convocation list.  No motion is necessary. 

 

8.2

Election Updates

Faculty Senator on the Board Election

Nominations were accepted from May 15, 2018 to May 31, 2018.  One eligible nomination was submitted.

  • Dr. Christine Gottardo was acclaimed as the faculty Senator on the Board and has been recommended to serve a three year term on the Board of Governors.
