CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: STAFF MEMBER TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS 2015-2018 - DEADLINE MAY 5, 2015
Interest-to-Serve Form for the Staff Member position on the Board of Governors is now available to full-time non-faculty staff (excluding senior management, staff or advisors who report directly to a President or Vice-President). Eligible nominees include full-time union and non-union staff. Nominate yourself or another staff member to serve as an Internal Board member for a three year renewable term, beginning in October 2015.
The Board of Governors exercises its governance, oversight, and public accountability duties through leadership and delegation in strategic planning, financial stewardship, ethical integrity, and risk management regarding the University's objectives and purposes, assets, and affairs.
Candidates must possess the qualifications, experience and commitment required to govern and institution of the size, complexity, and reputation of Lakehead University. Knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of fields are preferred in order that the duties of the Board can be discharged effectively.
It is important that all applicants review the Lakehead University Board Operating Principles before completing the nomination form.

Nominations to fill vacancies on the board of governors
Lakehead University is seeking interested and qualified persons to serve on its Board of Governors for three-year terms.
Persons wishing to be considered for an appointment to the Lakehead University Board of Governors are asked to submit a completed nomination form.
Nominations forms will be accepted throughout the year for consideration in future years. The Governance & Nominating Committee will review nominations annually and selected candidates will be contacted for interviews.
