Climate Action

Affordable and clean energyScience demands a dramatic reduction in greenhouse gas emissions
in each year of this decade to avoid the worst of human-caused
climate change and to reduce the impact of climate change among the
world’s poorest populations. Lakehead University recognizes its role in
acting to address climate issues through research, partnerships,
stewardship in its own behaviours such as reducing carbon use,
knowledge creation and exchange, and through education.

COMMITMENT TO CLIMATE ACTION

Reflecting its commitments to climate action, Lakehead University has declared the 2021/2022 academic year a Year of Climate Action. This move supports Lakehead University's commitments to social responsibility and sustainability, which demand that we take action to create a healthy, equitable, and sustainable future.
