Energy is central to nearly every major challenge and opportunity the world faces today and access to energy for all is essential. Lakehead University is actively promoting and supporting clean energy initiatives through research, outreach, and by changing our own behaviours and practices in areas including investments and usage.

COMMITMENT TO DIVEST FROM FOSSIL FUELS

Recognizing Lakehead University has a responsibility to be pro-active in facing the challenges associated with climate change through education, research, and its investments, Lakehead University’s Board of Directors has committed to divesting from fossil fuel companies by 2023.
