On March 21, 2026, Lakehead Career Services & Co-operative Education will host the inaugural NextStep 2026 School-to-Work Transition Conference in Thunder Bay.

This full-day conference is designed to support students in navigating the transition from academic life into professional environments with clarity, confidence, and practical preparation.

Keynote Sessions (Agora)

Professional Identity & Early Career Mindset
Developing professional presence, confidence, and self-awareness as students prepare to enter the workforce.

Leadership & Accommodations in the Workplace
Understanding workplace rights, accommodations, and strategies for navigating professional environments with awareness and accountability.


Workshop (Faculty Lounge)

International Student Information Session - PGWP
Guidance for students navigating post-graduation work pathways and employment considerations in Canada.
