Giving Tuesday

Lakehead University is proud to announce the return of its Giving Tuesday fundraiser, an inspiring annual tradition that encourages alumni, friends and supporters to come together in support of student financial aid. First launched in 2016, this event has become a meaningful opportunity for our community to create lasting impacts for students in need.

Giving Tuesday is more than a fundraiser—it’s a chance to transform lives. Many Lakehead University students face financial challenges that impact their ability to pursue higher education. Donations raised during this year’s Giving Tuesday will go directly towards scholarships, bursaries and awards providing critical financial aid to students striving to achieve their academic and career goals.

How to Participate:

1. Make a Donation: Contribute online at donate.lakeheadu.ca. The first $50,000 dollars raised will be matched 1:1 (to a maximum of $2500) for any new gifts received in support of student financial aid. The matching incentive is made available by the Alumni Association of Lakehead University.

2. Spread the Word: Share this initiative on social media using the hashtag #LakeheadProud to encourage others to join the effort.
