Agrobiodiversity to Sustain Community Food Systems
As part of Research and Innovation Week's Social Innovation Forum on Monday, March 5, partners and collaborators on a new research project will offer early perspectives at a panel discussion, followed by a round table discussion open to anyone with interest.
The time is 9 - 11 am in AT 5036 and light refreshments will be served. Some of the international perspectives include the topics of cultivation agroecology, an initiative of USC Canada, a just and sustainable food policy for Canada, moving towards producing greener food in China, nature-based solutions for the farm in Ecuador, Indigenous food systems in northern Canada, and urban agriculture in Thunder Bay, an initiative of Roots to Harvest.
If you have an interest in watching the future unfold in agroecology (agroforestry, agriculture, food systems and heritage crops), this part of the Social Innovation Forum is for you.
