Rodi-Lynn gained invaluable experience while in private practice for nearly 15 years. While her primary focus was in corporate law and commercial litigation, one of her main areas of expertise was assisting not-for-profit corporations with their annual legal obligations and assisting with applications for charitable registrations.  Rodi-Lynn's litigation experience includes researching and preparing cases that require her to attend before various levels of the judicial system, administrative boards and tribunals such as the Superior Court of Justice, including the Divisional Court and the Small Claims Court, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Landlord and Tenant Board and the former Assessment Review Board.

Rodi-Lynn's legal teaching experience began while she was in her second and third years of Law School as a teaching assistant to first year law students in Constitutional Law under the guidance and direction of Professor Ben Hovius. Since graduating and returning home to Thunder Bay, Rodi-Lynn has acted as a coach/mentor for high school students participating in the Law Day moots and for several years had co-chaired the corporate program for the annual continuing legal education program presented to members of the local bar. She continued her interest in leadership and teaching with the opening of what is now known as the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law.  Rodi-Lynn was a Contracts Tutorial Leader to the inaugural 1L students and since September 2014, has been active as a Clinical Instructor with the second year Civil Practice course where she has been able to direct and evaluate second year law students on drafting correspondence and pleadings as well as on general advocacy skills.

Rodi-Lynn's strong organizational skills, proven leadership qualities and wealth of legal experience contribute to the excellent services provided by Lakehead University Community Legal Services.
