The students will do thesis project research in Canadian Government Labs. The students will be registered either in the Biology MSc Program or Biotechnology PhD Program at Lakehead University. The students can select their interested projects in our research group such as lignocellulosic biomass bioconversion, bioproducts, microbial enzymes, and bioremediation. Research Internship Courses and Honours Thesis Opportunities May Be Available
May 5, 2023: Currently we have research internship course and Honours Thesis positions available for Lakehead students to work on one of the several projects such as [1] Microbial Dissolution and Enrichment of Gold and Other Valuable Metals from Electronics Circuit Boards. [2] Biodegrading Enzyme Producing Microorganism Assisted Extraction of Bioactive Compounds: Polyphenol, Saponin, and Quercetin Extraction from Dandelion, Milkweed, and Goldenrod. [3] Mixture of Organic Wastes and Rock-dissolving and Biodegrading Bacteria for Mining Tailing Sites Bioremediation and Vegetation.
