Instructor – Supervisory Officer’s Qualification Program Instructor
I was a Superintendent for the Waterloo Catholic District School Board from the 2011/2012 school year until the 2016/2017 school year. My portfolios included: Equity and Inclusion; Religious and Family Life Education; Faith Development; French as a Second Language; English as a Second Language; Physical, Health and Outdoor Education; Inter-school instructional rounds; International Service Learning; Safe Schools; Summer Learning; Parent Engagement; and a family of schools. I hold many additional qualifications including specializations in Religious and Special Education. I also hold the degree of Doctor of Education (Educational Leadership) which focuses on educational leadership, change dynamics and system of care. My Master’s Degree work was in International Education. As an Education Officer, my portfolios include: Research and Evaluation; Indigenous Education; Leadership and Governance; Policy, Priorities and Engagement; Strategic Planning and Transformation and Incubation and Design. I am a father of four and grandfather of one (and counting)!
Goals for candidates include:
To become better able to analyse and capitalize on current trends and issues in local, national and international education; To better understand their own strengths and challenges; To become better able to establish and sustain broadly shared mission, vision and goals.
Interests: Farming, reading, cross country skiing, kayaking, board games.
