Thunder Bay Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Laboratories

Thunder Bay is home to the largest cyclotron on Ontario.  The TR-24 cyclotron just became fully operational in February 2016.  Since then the facility has been working hard to get into production mode with the first product F-18 FDG due to be ready in the summer of 2017.

Research is also an important component of what goes on at the facility.  If you are interested in learning how radiolabeled drugs can be used to diagnose diseases and to see what is happening inside the body, this area of research may be for you.  To read more about some of the research opportunities please visit our research page.
