(OR) WellU Wednesday: Art of Self-Care

Prioritizing your well-being and taking care of yourself is a lot like nurturing a garden. Water, sunlight, and patience are important things that plants (and students!) need to thrive. Join Student Health & Wellness to intentionally plant seeds of self-care by creating your own mini garden and reflecting on a wellness routine that works for you. The mini garden will serve as a visual reminder to take time for yourself while discovering new strategies to recharge, de-stress, and cultivate growth. All supplies to create your garden of self-care will be provided!

(OR) safeTALK

safeTALK is an in-person workshop to build skills in suicide prevention. Participants will learn how to recognize and engage with someone thinking about suicide, overcome attitudes that act as barriers to help, talk openly about suicide and connect with intervention resources for further support.

(OR) Gardening Day

Join Indigenous Initiatives and Student Health & Wellness for a relaxing day in the Wiigwasitig Gitigaan 'Birch Tree Garden' and Ambe Tigadaw 'Three Sisters Garden.' Get your hands dirty while meeting fellow students, staff, faculty, and community members. Everyone is welcome to connect with nature and be out on the land.

Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided! Bring clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Stay for 10 minutes or the whole time - it's up to you, and all help is appreciated!

We can't wait to see you there!
