Brass Roots: Music, Memory, & Community

Join us for Brass Roots: Music, Memory, & Community, an unforgettable evening of soul-stirring music and rich storytelling, presented by the Orillia Silver Band and the Orillia Museum of Art & History. Taking place on Thursday, July 17 from 7–9pm at St. Paul’s Centre, this special performance is hosted by the Office of Community Engagement & Lifelong Learning and celebrates the power of music to connect us through time, memory, and community.

Warren Nicholson LUMINA Concert

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, guitarist Warren Nicholson performs works by F. Caccini, J. Dowland, J.S. Bach and more!

The concert is at 12:30 p.m. in the Jean McNulty Recital Hall inside the William H. Buset Centre for Music and Visual Arts.

Admission is $15 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors.

Composer’s Canvas - Honours Recital Concert

Join Amani Sloley and friends for an unforgettable evening featuring the premiere of his compositions, showcasing his journey as a composition major.

Amani is grateful for Dr. Aris Carastathis, Dr. Darlene Chepil Reid, and Dr. Sean Kim's mentorship. From Introspective choral pieces like “Once Was You” to mixed-media electroacoustic piece, “The Giants Sleeping,” will come to life through the talents of current Lakehead music students! I can’t wait to see you there!
