Vocal Ensemble and aig+c

On Friday, March 11th at 7:30 PM in the Finlandia Club, aig+c and the Lakehead University Vocal Ensemble will present a recital of dance and music, including a new choreography by Quebec-based choreographer Edgar Zendejas. The Lakehead University Chamber Choir joins the Thunder Bay Symphony Chorus, vocal soloists Kimy McLaren, Jennifer Enns Modolo, David Menzies, James Levesque and the TBSO for two works by Mozart (Venite populi, K. 260 and Vesperae solennes de Confessore, K. 339) in Masterworks V, 8:00 pm, March 11, 2010 at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium. Lakehead University Chamber Choir's Recent Successes

The Lakehead University Chamber Choir is pleased to share some recent successes with the University Community. Under the direction of Dr. Dean Jobin-Bevans, the choir received the Gwen House Memorial Choral Award at the Lakehead Festival of Music and the Arts in June, and later placed as runner-up at the Ontario Music Festivals Association in London, Ontario.

The choir was formed in September 2005 and increasingly attracts attention throughout the Thunder Bay community.

The Lakehead University Chamber Choir performed as the guest ensemble at the Aurora Borealis Concert Series in December 2007. Be sure to come back for information on upcoming choral events and concerts.
