After high school I attended the University of Ottawa and quickly realized that there was something about my experience that was missing. I missed home and the familiarity of a smaller city. This is why I decided to come back to Thunder Bay to attend Lakehead University.

Lakehead is an excellent place to study, especially a subject such as geology. Thunder Bay has lots of interesting geology and natural beauty in and around the area. The small class sizes at Lakehead have allowed me to get to know the other students in my program as well as get to know my professors. The professors at Lakehead are enthusiastic and care greatly about the quality of education of their students. Going to school at Lakehead has so far been an unforgettable experience and I'm very excited for the next two years!

After starting my program I was happy I chose Lakehead for the small class sizes and personal relationships I developed with professors and fellow students. As an art student, I find my inspiration from the natural landscape around me. Lakehead’s location in Thunder Bay keeps me close to my inspiration, which helps me to generate ideas.

"The Canadian education system is entirely different than the schooling I received in India. Everything in Canada was new to me but Lakehead made my transition easier. "I chose to come to Lakehead University because it was close to home and I had heard that the music program was fantastic. The class sizes are small and the interaction with professors is second to none. Lakehead is definitely the best choice for me simply for those reasons.

My favourite Lakehead Universityhang out would have to be the Music library and the best place to study would be outside or in the Music library.

"I chose to study Concurrent Education with a major in French at Lakehead University for a number of different reasons. First of all, I have been in French immersion for years so majoring in French just made sense to me. I also like working with children and have been for the last few years as a summer camp worker, so being a teacher seems like a great career.
