"The geology program at Lakehead will open you to a variety of fields. It's so much more than exploration; it's also business, law, education, and research. Geology is a huge field and you can do whatever you want with it.

I chose Lakehead for its personable setting. You are not a number here and especially not in the Geology program. My geology classes are small so I know all my profs and classmates.

"On our tour of campus, after we got to the Bora Laskin, the secretary of the Faculty of Education saw us looking around and asked us if we were there for the tour. We said that we weren’t, we were just looking. The secretary told us that if we wanted to wait 5 minutes, there would be a tour. We did, and in those 5 minutes, she had made me a bag of stuff that I could keep.

Aside from the small school, I chose to attend Lakehead for all of the opportunities of growth, and involvement. It was not the outline of the programs, or the possible scholarships and bursaries that confirmed my decision, but the hospitality and community feeling on the campus.
